Harrisburg, N.C. (February 28, 2024) – KHI Management (KHIM) announced today Landen Lewis will join the field for the inaugural zMAX CARS Tour West race at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway on Saturday, March 2, piloting the No. 15 SoundGear Chevrolet for Wilson Motorsports.
With two starts at the Bakersfield, California track in the ARCA Menards Series West, Lewis has found success early at the half-mile asphalt track. In 2022, at the age of 16 Lewis made his first start in the series and scored his first-career win from the third starting position. The following year, Lewis returned to the track and won the pole, but came up one spot short of winning back-to-back races.
“I am excited to run the first zMAX CARS Tour West event at Kern Raceway this weekend,” said Lewis. “It’s one of my favorite West Coast tracks and it’s great to be partnered with Charlie Wilson again. With SoundGear coming on board and our success in the past at Kern Raceway, I’m looking forward to the weekend, making laps and putting ourselves in the right position to earn another win. The zMAX CARS Tour West race will mark the first start of 2024 for Lewis in a Pro Late Model car. The remainder of Lewis’ 2024 season will be announced at a later date.
In addition to Lewis competing in the race on Saturday evening, KHIM owner and Bakersfield native, Kevin Harvick will be the grand marshal. In November 2023, the Bakersfield track announced new ownership and with the change, Tim and Lisa Huddleston renamed the track Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway in honor of the 2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion.
The zMAX CARS Tour West race at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway is scheduled for Saturday, March 2, at 10 p.m. EST.
